    Deadline

    10 CALENDAR days (not business days) from the written request of the condominium owner or their representative.

    Deed Mandatory

    This declaration is mandatory for executing the sale deed. If absent, the notary may refuse to execute the deed or require a substitute declaration from the seller under oath.

    Debt Responsibility

    The acquirer is JOINTLY LIABLE with the seller for condominium debts existing at the time of acquisition, BUT ONLY up to the amount of installments due in the 2 years prior to the transfer (art. 1437.º no. 2 CC). Debts prior to this period are the sole responsibility of the seller.
